Small travel paintings
When I travel i always take along a small watercolour kit and pad, and paint in restaurants, coffee shops, waiting rooms and anywhere else people are gathered and busy with what they are doing. The challenge is often that the subject leaves right after I start and light levels are often so low that I can’t really tell what colours I’m using. Its always fun, and the service is usually great because the wait staff are fascinated by what you are doing.
I have been taken into the kitchen to meet the chef, because he paints, on a couple of occasions.
I will be posting my attempts to paint the fall leaves tomorrow

His food often gets forgotten as he gets involved in his paintings, so I get to eat the french fries while they’re hot.
